We can provide FSC® certified wood

GG Bled manages state forest and forest owned by the Archdiocese Ljubljana in accordance with the internationally recognized FSC® certification scheme and in this way respects the strictest environmental, social and economical criteria for the forest management. State forest management received FSC® certification on 27th March 2007 and forest management owned by the Archdiocese Ljubljana on 21st December 2010.

FSC is an independent, non-governmental, non-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management of the world's forest. FSC® was established in 1993 as a response to concerns over global deforestation. The »Forest Steward Council®« (FSC®) promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forest.

Environmentally appropriate forest management ensures that the harvest of timber and non-timber products maintains the forest’s biodiversity, productivity, and ecological process. Social beneficial forest management helps both local people and society.

Economically viable forest management means that forest operations are structured and managed so as to be sufficiently profitable, without generating financial profit at the expense of the ecosystem, or affected communities.
