In 2018, GG Bled celebrates its 70^th anniversary. A solemn event held on the occasion of this jubilee took place on 4^th October 2018 at the Bled Festival Hall. The event was held under the honourable patronage of the President of Slovenia, Mr Borut Pahor. 

The speakers of honour were Mr Marko Matjašič, M.Sc., the general manager of GG Bled, Mr Stanislav Zore, Msgr, the archbishop and metropolitan, Mr Janez Fajfar, the mayor of Bled, and Mrs Aleksandra Pivec, PhD, the minister of agriculture, forestry and food.

The event was attended by many leading representatives of state and public institutions from the sector of forestry, by leading businessmen from the sector of forestry and timber industry from Slovenia, Austria and Italy, numerous high-ranking representatives of forestry institutions, research and education institutions, other partners, and, of course, the employees and the former emplyees.
